Considering the facts that:
- I am onto my third year at FIT(Fashion Institute of Technology) 1 degree down, 1 more to go
- I've managed to raise my GPA above a 3.0
- Hopefully I'll be studying in Mexico City for spanish this winter session
- and now I'm fullfilling a long awaited dream of interning at a really cool magazine(VIBE)!
So now that I've returned to my sweet NYC (THANK YOU GOD...oh right, and my parents), I honestly don't know how I made it through the summer working at a summer camp in the middle of nowhere (country VA, not NoVA, for all of those who know what I'm talking about). 24/7 sweating, bug bites, dirty bathrooms, horny teenagers, and corrupted authorities are simply not my cup of tea. I will say however, that i'll go along with the fact that the 'experience' was good, but I doubt I'll find myself in that situation again, unless otherwise forced and desperate. On a lighter note, before I start trash-talking my beloved Camp Friendship...that I did walk away with new contacts in Europe and a few new friends with lots of memories. (plus some really great campers!)
Oh and plus I got into really great shape walking all over the camp over hills, hills, and more hills, AND a super hot tan.
Another thing (i'll look at in a positive way) is that I am starting this all out single, and surprisingly I'm not on the prowl, I'm kind of worn out from going to clubs and endless drinking, which I suppose is in my favor career and education-wise.
I'm back to a somewhat of a workout routine, healthier eating habits and more sleep.
I think about now the only thing missing is a job (yes, I know, but who has time?), a guy (I know...but as a female I couldn't help but say it, it would be nice), and an easier way to get home to VA other than the bus. I need a transporter or something.
But I'll admit it does feel nice to sit back and relax, because now everything is essentially going the way I want it, and I'm enjoying the view of watching it unfold in front of my eyes...slowly but surely.

Why would you waste your time in the world of fashion?
Ed
Fashion is everywhere whether you'd like to believe it or not. You live in fashion. Sorry to be the one to break it to you. Also nothing is a waste of time if its something you are passionate about and have the energy to make an effort in. Also noted that although I have a degree in Fashion, its a business degree, and technically today there are endless possibilities in the fashion industry. And as I am continuing my education by getting my bachelor degree in Advertising and Marketing communications, I am opening doors and giving myself even more opportunities than with one certain focus with one certain degree. So if becoming educated in an endless world of possibilities to move myself ahead...then I guess I am wasting time, but you must admit...it's being more than well wasted.
